Pocket Crochet is a free app for tracking your crochet projects on the go. Developed by a crocheter and a software developer, it focuses on a clean, modern design with the features that matter most during a project.

Download Pocket Crochet from the App Store or Google Play. The base app is free with all core features included. Cloud storage and sync, business features (timers, customer management), and additional themes require a paid subscription.

Start a new project and add:

  • Pattern name and designer
  • Yarn details (brand, color number, batch number)
  • Hook size
  • Notes and modifications
  • Start and end dates

Organize projects into folders and archive or delete them when finished.

Add multiple row counters to a single project. Each counter tracks independently for rows, repeats, sections, or pattern elements. Tap to increment or decrement.

Upload pattern PDFs or images directly into a project. The app makes a hidden copy so you can safely delete the original to save space.

Supported formats:

  • PDF files
  • Image files (photos of printed patterns, screenshots)
  • Reading lines: Multiple highlight lines to keep your place
  • Annotations: Scribble, draw, or use stamps directly on your pattern
  • Zoom: Full-screen mode and adjustable zoom
  • Screen stays on: Configurable screen timeout while working
  • Remembers position: Reopens to your last viewed spot

Add reference photos and progress pictures to each project. Useful for documenting modifications or tracking color combinations.

Log your yarns with details like brand, color number, and batch number. Link yarns to specific projects to track usage.

Optional cloud storage lets you back up your projects and sync between devices. This is a paid feature.
